Crisis in Gaza for Congregational Leaders

UCC PIN created Crisis in Gaza as a resource with two purposes in mind: (1) to help clergy and congregations do a deeper dive into the history and context of the immediate crisis; and (2) to equip them to engage in “bold, prophetic witness. . . for a just and genuine peace in Palestine and Israel.” The resource is available in several formats, easily adaptable for multiple uses. We urge congregations to use it in whatever ways best suit your setting and then to let us know about your experience. You can access Crisis in Gaza, as a narrated Power point, a Youtube video, or a PDF of the slides, through our UCC PIN website here

UCC PIN has started getting feedback about the ways some congregations have used Crisis of Gaza. For one congregation’s experience, read Stephen Gasteyer’s story below, about his congregation, Edgewood UCC in East Lansing, Michigan.

UCC PIN exists to “educate, equip, and mobilize.” To do that, we depend on feedback from UCC clergy, congregations, conference and national leaders. We are specifically eager to learn about your experience using Crisis in Gaza. To make that easy for you, we have created a Crisis in Gaza resource response form here. After using the resource, please complete the form to describe your experience and share your feedback. For questions or feedback on other topics, contact UCC PIN at info@uccpin. org.
